Harbour Sunrise is a unique piece of handcrafted coastal wall art featuring sculpted porcelain shells inspired by the textures and colours of the sea.
Each piece of beach art is individually handmade using white porcelain. The shells are carefully sculpted by hand, kiln fired, and then glazed in sea-inspired colours before being fired again. The result is a unique piece of coastal decor that reflects the natural forms and tones of the sea.
The inspiration for my coastal wall art comes from the beaches near my home in Rye in East Sussex. Daily walks along the beach with my dog reveal an ever-changing palette — soft greys, sea blues, stormy greens and pearlescent tones. The organic forms of shells collected from the sand inspire the porcelain shells that make up this piece of coastal wall art.
Because each element of this textured wall art is sculpted and glazed by hand, no two pieces are ever identical. Subtle variations in shape, colour and texture ensure that every artwork is a truly unique piece of beach art.
